In the Monster Hunter Rise footage, you will see new gameplay and Wirebug action. Using this special insect called a Wirebug, you will be able to grapple in any direction, making it possible to scale cliffs and structures. And in some cases, you can even weave it into some weapon attacks. You can see the new footage around the 1:40 mark. Announced last week, the game puts you into the world of Kamura Village, a new mountain locale where you will experience the unique culture and innovative hunting technologies. Monsters revealed include Aknosom, Great Izuchi, Tetranadon, and a new monster called Magnamalo. All combat areas within each quest are seamlessly connected, allowing for exploration of the large vertical landscapes with no loading times. And you can ride a dog called a Palamute. Monster Hunter Rise is slated for a March 26 release on Switch.
