Alongside new season Iron Banner armour and weapons, there’s the new Red-Hot Iron quest to complete this season. The Forward Path and The Fool’s Remedy will be reprised in Season of Arrivals and will come with some additional perks, including:
Iron Grip - Improves weapon stability at the cost of reload speed. Iron Gaze - Improves weapon target acquisition at the cost of range.
The weapon pool will be reduced to eight weapons, including some reissued weapons that will come with the new seasonal max Infusion cap:
Shining Sphere Swarm of the Raven Talons of the Eagle Bite of the Fox Orewing’s Maul Crimil’s Dagger
The armour set this season is the reprised Iron Fellowship set. You’ll earn each piece through different stages of the quest, alongside a special Iron Banner weapon. Interestingly, skill-based matchmaking has been disabled for Iron Banner this season, so we’ll see how much easier or difficult it’ll be for some players.
Destiny 2: Season of Arrivals - Red-Hot Iron quest
So the Iron Banner quest is way shorter this season. There’s only one step to complete - getting kills with two types of weapons - before taking on bounties to earn the reprised armour and selection of weapons. The bounties replace the usual five or six-step process to earn all the gear, so there’s plenty to do after the initial quest.
Old Reliables
To get started, speak with Lord Saladin in the Tower. For this step, you’ll need to defeat Guardians using Sidearms and Auto Rifles. Precision kills will fill your progress bar faster.
Sidearm kills: 25 Auto Rifle kills: 25
Once you’ve finished this step, visit Saladin in the Tower to get your rewards. You’ll get a role of both The Forward Path and The Fool’s Remedy plus the Iron Vendetta shader and Light Unbridled Emblem.
