Last night’s Inside Xbox next-gen showcase was a presentation mostly filled with cinematic trailers and games not exclusive to next-gen consoles. Microsoft knew what it had, so it kept the event’s biggest ticket - Assassin’s Creed Valhalla - to the very end. The Valhalla reveal and CG trailer left fans excited, and many hoped Inside Xbox would deliver the goods. Even though Ubisoft promised gameplay, creative director Ashraf Ismail was quick to clarify that what was going to be shown isn’t a gameplay demo, but a mere teaser. Knowing all this, fans were still disappointed by the trailer that aired on Inside Xbox. The official trailer on Ubisoft’s North America YouTube channel has a high like/dislike ratio, with 32,000 dislikes compared to 18,000 likes. This might seem trivial, but this is where the trailer first appeared after the show. By comparison, the reveal trailer has 292,000 likes and just 12,000 dislikes. In response, Ismail acknowledged that fans expected more from the trailer, and promised that more gameplay will be shared between now and launch. To see this content please enable targeting cookies. Assassin’s Creed Valhalla launches this holiday on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X and Stadia.
