And some eagle eyed Twitter users honed in on a strange part of Trophy’s E.D.G.E. where there’s a reflection of what looks to be the Eye of Sauron in the water. It’s pretty easy to miss, but on closer inspection it sure does look like that big eye in the sky....

It’s been five years since Hideo Kojima set out with this version of Kojima Productions and the studio has been celebrating on social media. In a series of posts on Twitter, the developer shared a video featuring staff showing the palms of their hands, likely because, well, four fingers and a thumb makes five, but there’s no doubt some hidden layer of symbolism in this gesture. That’s on top of Kojima Productions launching some brand new merchandise to celebrate this milestone....
According to an official announcement from Konami, it appears the company is a bit too busy to attend E3 2021. The company says it is currently “in deep development” on a number of projects. “Due to timing, we will not be ready to present at E3 this year,” reads the statement. “We want to reassure our fans that we are in deep development on a number of key projects, so please stay tuned for some updates in the coming months....

Based on the popular Korean fantasy series The Bird That Drinks Tears by author Yeong-do Lee, nothing is really known about the in-development title other than the IP it is based on. Lee’s novel was first serialized on an internet forum, and after the conclusion of the series, the book was published in four hardcover volumes. The series features four different races and stars five characters, three of which are tasked with rescuing a Nhaga from its own people....
Everyone likes to make jokes about Kingdom Hearts 3 taking a long time to come out, but more people need to remember the story of Duke Nukem Forever, a game that took a grand total of 14 years to develop. It was first announced in 1997, but didn’t actually come out until 2011, and was critically panned across the board, to the surprise of no one. Now though, as shared by fan site Duke4, a leak has popped up on 4chan that contains screenshots and footage of a playable build of the game from 2001....

After Mario Golf: Super Rush releases on June 25, there will be more to come from the Mushroom Kingdom-infused golf game. This includes free updates to the game with additional courses and playable characters. With simple controls and a shot gauge on the right side of the screen, you can hit shots that might be rather hard on an actual golf course. You can expect characters like Mario, Luigi, Princess Peach, and Bowser included in the game, and some have more power, while others may have better control....
The reveal of Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora at Ubisoft Forward was one of E3 2021’s most surprising moments. We’ve known the game had been in development for years, but no one expected it to show up now. One other thing most may not realise is that Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora was also sort of used to pitch another game The Division developer Massive wanted to make: Star Wars. Come June 18, the free next-gen Metro Exodus upgrade for Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation 5 will be made available. This week with the launch of Xbox Series X, a video showing the console emitting thick smoke from the top vent went viral, causing a bit of panic for early adopters. It was quickly debunked when it was discovered that the person in question blew vape smoke into the bottom vent, causing the smoke to rise though the top. You know, for clicks. The original “prank” was clearly a play on a rumour that the console ran a bit too hot, a claim that has, too, been largely debunked....
Microsoft Flight Simulator players will be able to see more of Japan on September 29. When it drops, you can expect an upgraded digital elevation map across the entire country of Japan and high-resolution 3D photogrammetry. Microsoft will be very aggressive at the start of the next-generation of console, and that could lead it to undercut Sony’s PS5 price, even if it means losing money initially. At least, that’s according to Wedbush Securities analyst Michael Pachter, and former EA and Microsoft executive Peter Moore. Both industry veterans were guests on a mini-podcast hosted by Geoff Keighley on Friday. Pachter suggested that Microsoft will be waiting for Sony to make the first move, before the company announces a cheaper Xbox Series X....
