Earlier this week, CD Projekt Red revealed that it has fallen victim to a major ransomware attack. The studio was asked to contact the perpetrators and come to an agreement, which it refused. Unsurprisingly, the hackers are now making good on their threats, showing snippets of what they obtained as part of this attack. According to a Cybernews report, hackers have leaked the source code for Gwent on some hacking forum....
IGN revealed the news today that CD Projekt Red has the game in the works, since it is standalone, you won’t need to own Gwent in order to play it. According to Gwent’s Pawel Burza the game is being developed for players who prefer a single-player game “over competitive multiplayer Gwent.” In a developer update streamed during Gwent World Masters #3 in December Gwent’s director Vladimir Tortsov said to expect an official reveal soon....
In a post on Twitter, the company’s global community lead Marcin Momot highlighted the fact that the game’s Twitter banner features the previously-announced December 10 release date following rumours that the eagerly-anticipated sci-fi RPG was being delayed once again. This was due to the fact that the aforementioned release date was removed from the Cyberpunk 2077 official Twitter account’s bio, which caused some to speculate it’s being pushed back again....

Dead by Daylight now features both cross-play and cross-friends on consoles, following the implementation of cross-player on PC. The ability to play with friends from different platforms was highly requested by the community. Players are now able to create a friends list that is cross-platform to enjoy the horror game together. Cross-progression is also coming to the game in September and will allow players to share progression, inventory, and purchases across PC, Stadia, and Switch....

The official Crysis Twitter page recently posted an interesting tweet referencing Crysis 2. The tweet reads: “They used to call me Prophet.” This is of course reference to something spoken by Major Laurence “Prophet” Barnes in the game. Barnes was also a character in the original Crysis. He was the commanding officer of Raptor Team, and also has a role in Crysis 3 (thanks, PC Gamer). The Twitter account also followed up this tweet with an image of the game....
As reported in Bloomberg, the executives of the Polish studio had sent a staff email on Friday that said that everyone will receive full bonus payouts no matter how well Cyberpunk 2077 is reviewed. “We initially had a bonus system that was focused on the game’s ratings and the release date, but after consideration, we believe that measure is simply not fair under the circumstances,” wrote studio head and Cyberpunk’s game director Adam Badowski in the email sent to staff....

That’s according to a statement the company sent to PC Gamer when asked how things were coming along. Each game will “progressively” have its servers restored until Dark Souls 3 is brought back online. “We are currently in the process of restoring the online servers for the Dark Souls series on PC,” the studio said. “We plan to restore online service for each game progressively, bringing back servers for Dark Souls 3 once we complete the necessary work to correct the problem....
