An all-new AI teammate experience is coming to Ghost Recon Breakpoint as part of Title Update 4.0.0, and it launches next week on May 25. Free for all players, the AI Teammate Experience update will consist of an all-new progression loop, allowing you to improve your AI teammates, earn rewards and unlock challenges to complete. You will then be able to level up your AI teammates, which will unlock tactical upgrades....

Episode 2 features a new eight-mission story arc co-starring Splinter Cell’s Sam Fisher - as voiced by Michael Ironside - which will see the two of you uncover a plot to develop mind-controlled military drones on Auroa. The new addition will be added in a hefty Title Update 2.0 which also brings with it four new maps to PvP and two new classes to both PvE and PvP - the Echelon class which focuses on stealth gameplay and the Engineer class who can deal a good amount of damage to drones and build defense Drones to fight for them....

Capcom brought the nostalgia at last night’s The Game Awards show with two new projects. Ghosts ‘n Goblins Resurrection is a reimagining of the classic side-scrolling platformer shooter. Built in a new engine, the new Ghosts ‘n Goblins pays homage to the original and introduces some new mechanics to make things a little more forgiving for newcomers. The Page mode offers infinite lives, but you’ll also be able to choose from three base difficulties....

While we already have a good idea of what to expect from the outlandish simulation title, Gamescom Opening Night Live treated us to our very first look at the gameplay of Goat Simulator 3. It certainly looks to be an experience that builds on its predecessor with more secrets to uncover, further multiplayer options to mess with, and even some goat yoga. Goat Simulator 3 follows directly on from the original Goat Simulator (yes, they skipped 2) and revolves around exploration, puzzle solving, and of course, destruction by all means possible....

GOG, CD Projekt’s PC digital store, has announced an update to its refund policy. Previously, the site offered a 30-day money-back guarantee on games that don’t work on the customer’s PC. This week, the retailer announced a more generous, potentially exploitable policy. GOG will now refund any game bought within 30 days, regardless of the reason. Downloading and playing the game during that window doesn’t disqualify you, either. The potential for abuse in this new policy is massive....

While the ongoing pandemic is preventing the industry from gathering in Las Vegas, the Consumer Electronics Show continues online - and one of the biggest announcements for video games was quietly made by TV maker LG as it revealed its 2021 line-up. That reveal? Several of LG’s new TVs will support native apps for playing Google Stadia games. Some older LG TVs will also get an update to offer the app at a later date....

Since its launch two years ago through Xbox Game Preview and Steam Early Access, over 10 million players have ventured into the backyard and provided feedback which helped develop the game. Grounded is a co-op survival game where four children get shrunk in size and must defend their backyard from bugs by crafting and building defenses to grow back to regular size. You can play it solo, too. You will need to gather resources, craft, and build bases with everyday objects found in the yard to fend off swarms of bugs as you try your best to live alongside the giant insects....

Each media stick contains a different EP that you can play through your car radio in-game, with an additional mix unlocking when you find the first four. There are currently 5 Media Stick locations in GTA Online that are widely known about. These are four different colored EPs, Violet, Green, Blue, and Black, as well as one bonus media stick in the trunk of a car. The presence of this extra USB drive suggests there could be even more hidden somewhere around Los Santos, so we’ll update this list if more are discovered....

Rockstar has rolled out a new update for GTA Online on all platforms. PC players in particular have been looking forward to this one because it promised to drastically reduce the game’s notoriously long loading times. This all started when modder T0st dug deeper into the game’s code to find inefficient use of CPU cores and other problems they believed were the reason why GTA Online takes so damn long to load....

It’ll take some time before you can get Gemini Inscriptions, and even then, you’ll likely have to shell out some gold to make them work. How do Gunfire Reborn Inscriptions work? Inscriptions are random bonuses attached to each weapon, modifying stats or adding special effects. They come in different rarities, though you’ll only get access to the better ones after reaching level 10 and unlocking the Exclusive Inscriptions weapon talent....

This comes from journalist Jeremy Penter (thanks VGC), who wrote yesterday (October 2), “I can only confirm that many sources are saying this and very clear that it’s already been decided and Halo is for sure switching to Unreal. I feel like it’s time for other switches behind the scenes including people leaving and their past problems. Unreal is a great choice.” It’s not uncommon for developers to switch engines if they find it isn’t working particularly well, like when Kingdom Hearts 3 switched from Square Enix’s quite at-the-time broken Luminous Engine to Unreal Engine 4....

This is according to 343 Industries’ head of creative Joseph Staten who told Eurogamer campaign co-op and Forge mode will both release outside of the previous target windows. Campaign co-op was originally slated to release during Season 2 which would have been sometime in March. Because Season 1 kicked off earlier this week ahead of the game’s formal release date, it will last until May, which means campaign co-op will release sometime after the season ends and Season 2 begins....

A dataminer called @_FireMonkey has unveiled what could be up for grabs for players eager to move their way through a new event battle pass in February 2022. It should be noted that, from what we’ve seen so far, this may not be a complete list – Fractures: Tenrai has 30 tiers of rewards whereas there are only 10 listed here. Could we even get another armour core higher up the list, similar to the Yoroi armour core in the current, on-going event?...

Even Season 2 started off a bit “bumpy”, according to developer, 343 Industries. But the developer is keen to improve on what has, so far, been a pretty uneven ride. One way the creatives at 343 Industries seem keen to win back fan sentiment is via dropping in classic maps – something people have been calling for since the game first launched back in 2021. In an interview with the Kinda Funny Xcast, the game’s Head of Creative – Halo veteran Joseph Staten – was asked by Parris Lilly if multiplayer maps from older Halo games could make an appearance in the game (thanks, TrueAchievements)....

That means you won’t have to have a specific invite to the beta in order to get your sci-fi shooter on this weekend, though you will still need the Xbox Insider app in order to access the game. This new (slightly) more open test flight was announced on the game’s official Twitter account where the developer urged people eager to try the latest incarnation of Halo multiplayer to boot up the Xbox Insider Hub on their dashboard and download the Halo Infinite client through there....

Video games love space. It’s easy to see why – the setting allows for impossible vistas and a sense of wonder. It facilitates so many childhood dreams of having our own spaceships to take us on cosmic adventures, filled with fantastic creatures and laser beams. It usually goes hand-in-hand with a general air of optimism and hope, influenced by the vaguely utopian visions of the future of Star Trek and other foundational works of popular science-fiction....

The HBO drama is a big hit, as the first episode has now surpassed 22 million viewers domestically, up nearly five times that of its premiere episode. As previously reported, the second episode added 1 million viewers to the series, a 22% jump that marks the largest week two audience growth for any HBO original drama series. “I’m humbled, honored, and frankly overwhelmed that so many people have tuned in and connected with our retelling of Joel and Ellie’s journey," said the show’s executive producer and co-president of Naughty Dog, Neil Druckmann....

It has been revealed that Lamar Johnson will be taking on the role of Henry, with Keivonn Woodard playing his brother, Sam. The brothers are described in the press release as being in Kansas City, hiding from a revolutionary movement seeking vengeance. In the original game, we know that Joel and Ellie first encounter the two brothers in Pittsburgh....

One of the biggest new features in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is that it will allow players to create their own settlement in England. This homebase can be customised to your liking, and will grow as you progress through the story. Valhalla’s creative director Ashraf Ismail shared a screenshot of Eivor’s home in England. We’ve actually seen this screenshot before, but Ismail’s Tweet provides some context. According to the creative director, you’ll be able to take part in some relaxing activities such as fishing at your home, you can even see a fish rack visible in the shot....
