Ubisoft’s pirate game Skull and Bones will not be shown during Ubisoft Forward today, as the team is busy evolving it from its original concept. In an update, Ubisoft Singapore said the team is “fully committed” to releasing the game, as well as “supporting it for many years to come.” Plans are in place to re-reveal the game sometime in the future. “Many of you have been wondering why we’ve had to postpone our launch,” said creative director Elisabeth Pellen....
Announced in a news post, this new platform is launching on October 29th for PC, console and mobile devices. It’s replacing the Uplay desktop app and the company’s Club loyalty scheme. The service is adding cross-progression support for titles including Hyper Scape, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, Immortals Fenyx Rising, and Riders Republic in addition to more upcoming releases. You can be playing one of these games on PC and then pick up where you left off on PlayStation 4....
As the ongoing fallout to the explosive Activision Blizzard lawsuit continues, Ubisoft employees have signed an open letter showing support to workers walking out of the Activision Blizzard campus in protest of their management’s response to claims made against the company. Original article Roller Champions, the free-to-play roller skating action game released by Ubisoft earlier this year, may be on the chopping block soon if Giant Bomb’s Jeff Grubb is to be believed. If true, this means that news of the game’s demise would have come only two months following its release. Speaking on the Xbox Era podcast, the journalist from Giant Bomb claims to have recieved information which he then revealed to his peers while on the topic of Ubisoft changes and cancellations....
Developer Iron Gate has reduced the amount of time it takes to use tools again as part of a new Valheim update. In a post on Steam, the studio said it had tweaked the timings for tools like the Hammer, Hoe and Cultivator, meaning that players will be able to build, repair things slightly faster with the Hammer, as well as farm more efficiently with the Cultivator. The tweaks to the Hoe mean users will able to change ground in Valheim quicker, too....
The power of the Steam Deck handheld was immediately pitched as one of its most impressive qualities. Using a custom AMD APU running Zen 2 and RDNA 2, with 16GB of LPDDR5 RAM and a screen small enough to take advantage of all that power certainly puts the Deck well above many other competitors in that space. Market analyst Superdata has revealed in its 2019 VR/AR report that the Valve Index headset has sold 149,000 units during the year. 103,000 of those sales were made in the last three months of the year. Half-Life: Alyx was announced in November, so there’s a strong indication that most of those 103,000 were sold in that period. Indeed, the headset’s stock faced shortages in the weeks to follow, which has so far extended into 2020 worldwide....
Announced in November last year, the battle royale based on the paranormal property is due to launch later this year, and it will be developed by Sharkmob. Paradox Interactive will be on publishing duties for the game, and it’ll serve to fill a gap for them since Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 was recently delayed into 2022. “A treacherous betrayal has stirred a war amongst vampires, who are also targeted for annihilation by the secret society known as the Entity,” reads a blurb for the game....
Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 likely won’t release during the first half of 2021, according to its publisher, Paradox. Speaking in an interview Swedish financial publication Placera (thanks, Eurogamer), the company’s CEO dropped the news, and also stated part of the reason for the delay has to do with bringing the game to PS5 and Xbox Series X. “I do not think it will come in the first half of the year, but we will see”, said Paradox CEO Ebba Ljungerud....

The announcement of the collab was made over on the official Japanese Pac-Man website, but details are currently on the slim side as to how it will unfold. “Fortnite, an online game marketed and distributed by Epic Games, and Pac-Man have decided to collaborate,” reads the announcement (translations by VGC). “Pac-Man motif items will be available. The collaboration will begin on June 2.” Oddly though, the official Fortnite Twitter account has made no mention of Pac-Man being featured in the game....
