Ubisoft has announced that it won’t be waiting until its Forward showcase next month to bring us a new look at Far Cry 6. The gameplay reveal will instead take place this Friday, May 28. Gameplay will be streamed live on YouTube and Twitch, and it all kicks off at 9:30am PT, 12:30pm ET, 5:30pm UK. Ubisoft didn’t say how long the show is going to be, or what you can expect, but suffice it to say it’s been a long time coming....
According to French deals site Dealabs, PlayStation Plus members are getting three games as part of their subscription next month. The list is made up of FIFA 22 for PS4 and PS5, Tribes of Midgard for PS4 and PS5, and Curse of the Dead Gods on PS4 (though playable on PS5). FIFA 22 doesn’t need an introduction, and is evidently the highest profile game out of all three. EA’s sports games, however, release annually, and we’re likely a few weeks away from the reveal of FIFA 23 (which won’t actually be called that), so it’s not the best value....
Spoilers, obviously. The first disc is called Stand Up and can be found near the Honeybee Inn. Stand looking at the doors to the establishment and look to your left. There’s a crawl space you need to head through. You’ll find an NPC who’s willing to part with the music disc on the other side. The next one can be found on a guest inside the hotel - you know, the one where you had to get something from the vending machine for the materia seller earlier in the story....
Originally scheduled to launch on November 10th, fans found themselves left twiddling their thumbs. While some fans may be baffled as to why a seemingly basic remaster has been delayed, given the shoddy state of the previously released pixel remasters, additional polish can only be a good thing. Launching with eye-gouging fonts and a slew of other bugs, the remasters of the first five games required several patches until they were in the shape that many fans hoped they would launch in....
Laidlaw announced his departure from Ubisoft Quebec on Twitter overnight, after spending a little over the year at the studio. He joined Ubisoft back in December 2018 as the creative director on an unannounced triple-A project. He had previously served as a creative consultant on the project for nine months. Jeff Skalski, senior producer of the unannounced new project, said in the December announcement Laidlaw was the “perfect fit” for the game....
A ghoulish version of Midas and his spooky pals descend upon the Fortnite map today, complete with a new area called the Ghoulish Isles, new challenges and a concert featuring Grammy-award winning reggaeton superstar J Balvin. The Fortnitemares event will run from October 21 until November 3, so there’s plenty of time to jump in. Shadow Midas has taken over The Authority with his reanimated Henchmen, and you’ll need to defeat him before you’re turned into a Shadow....
Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 6, dubbed Primal, is now live in the game. As previously revealed, your first time experiencing the new season will be through a single-player mission, Zero Crisis Finale, which tells the story of the end of Agent Jones’ mission. Story spoilers beyond this point. Agent Jones and co succeed in containing the Zero Point in a tower of stone. Though they were largely successful, the tower sent out a pulse across the island that erased all advanced technology....
The Shockwave Hammer was introduced to the vibrant battle royale during Season 1 of Chapter 4, alongside a whole new map, support for Unreal Engine 5, and more. The item can be found in chests or grabbed from a couple of specific NPC’s during a match, and makes traversal across the map much easier. It’s also useful for quickly destroying buildings or items, and in a pinch, can be used to hammer an opponent halfway across the area while dealing some damage....
The 1940s Willys jeep exploit saw players get loads of easy cash and rare unlocks by buying the old banger, upgrading it, then gifting it on, getting Skill Points back after getting rid of it, and repeating the whole process to farm unlocks. In a recent hotfix, this exploit has been removed along with a few others, too (including a cheese that let you turn assists on and drive around whilst AFK in order to grind out points and earn skill points)....
Valve co-founder Gabe Newell has been stuck in New Zealand since the coronavirus outbreak. When the team wrapped up on Half-Life: Alyx, Newell went on a break in the country. Shortly afterwards, the virus hit and Newell found himself essentially stuck there since March. Newell has been guesting on national TV to promote a concert he’s putting on in New Zealand for free, with the help of his friends, as a way to thank the country for hosting them....
Important to note right off the bat this is just a rumour, but according to journalist and podcaster Nick Baker, speaking on the XboxEra podcast, Gears of War might be getting a collection similar in style to the Master Chief Collection (thanks, VGC). “A while back I said there is another Microsoft franchise that’s getting the Master Chief Collection-type treatment, I am of the belief that that is coming this year,” said Baker....
Hymnal ring challenges are just one of the uses of your Wind-Blessed Harpastum, a gadget you can obtain during Midsummer Island Adventure by completing the Summer Vacation: Proceed with Caution quest. There are a total of 18 hymnal ring puzzles found around the Golden Apple Archipelago, three of which have higher difficulty level variants that respawn over time. While most of the puzzles are environmental, one on Minacious Isle needs to be solved to complete The Winding Homeward Way quest....
If you’re hoping to take part in Tuned to the World’s Sounds, you’ll need to finish that first, which means having an Adventure Rank of at least 30 as well. Fortunately, the Inazuma Archon quest line is fairly simple, though it’s also text heavy and takes a bit of time to finish. Genshin Impact Wishes - How to unlock Wishes quest As you’d expect, you have to complete every other Archon quest in chapter two, Inazuma, to unlock Wishes....

It is very clear to anyone who watched Ghost of Tsushima’s earlier cinematic trailers that developer Sucker Punch took a lot of cues from samurai cinema, and that undoubtedly includes the work of legendary filmmaker Akira Kurosawa. To pay tribute to the works that inspired Ghost of Tsushima, the developer created a mode that turns every scene into one that could have been in Yojimbo or The 47 Ronin. Samurai Cinema is essentially a filter that adds film grain to the image, and turns it completely black-and-white....
Just like the first Goat Simulator, you’ll need to headbutt, lick and triple-jump your way across the island of San Angora, but this time with all new areas, challenges, and events. The trailer is pretty funny, especially because it’s a take on Dead Island 2’s announcement trailer from way, way back in the day. The game features all sorts of goat variants to be discovered, all customizable with ability-infused gear and fashionable nonsense such as toilet rolls, tea trays, jetpacks, and more....
As a drama, it runs the entire tonal gamut from prestige HBO drama to Wrestlemania, being stuffed with some of the best action spectacle that the series has ever offered (which is something of an achievement, given that the entire series kicks off with Kratos leaping across a shipwrecked fleet to kill a hydra), but also plenty of quiet, reflective moments which allow the pacing to breathe. It also provides a wonderfully unique take on the gods themselves....
