Disco Elysium: The Final Cut will be available as a digital download in March 2021 on PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 as well as on Steam, GOG, The App Store, Epic Games Store, and Google Stadia. This will be followed by the release of the game on Xbox Series X/S and Nintendo Switch platforms in summer 2021. All existing players of the game will receive a free full upgrade to The Final Cut on their current platform....

In an interview with VGC, Sakaguchi was asked if he and his development studio Mistwalker would be interested in developing remasters or remakes of their legacy RPGs. “To be perfectly honest, there aren’t any plans for any remakes at the moment,” replied the iconic developer. “Although they’re called remakes, the amount of effort and resources it would command means the difference is basically nil between [developing] a remake versus a completely new game,” he explained....

Microsoft has revealed that Omega Xbox Insiders will no longer require an Xbox Live Gold subscription to play free-to-play games online. This effectively makes the feature available to all Xbox Insiders, indicating that its public rollout is imminent. In a blog post, Microsoft indicated that nothing has changed since the feature first became available to Alpha Skip Ahead and Alpha Insiders. As with all policy changes and new features, Microsoft releases them gradually to the various Insider rings, before unlocking them for everyone ahead of their public launch....

The news comes from an official statement published on the EA blog, which provides some critical details about EA Access’ long-anticipated move to Steam. We already knew that EA Access would be coming to Steam soon, but it has now been clarified that it will launch this summer. “Electronic Arts has now launched the first wave of 25+ EA games coming to Steam,” the statement reads. It goes on to detail that BioWare classics Dragon Age 2 and Dragon Age: Inquisition will be among the games added in the first wave, as well as several titles from the Need For Speed franchise....

In its presentation for investors for the three months ending September 30, the firm says that it is looking to release a remaster, alongside a brand new title via its EA Originals indie publishing label by the end of the 2021 fiscal year. In English, that means that EA wants to have these games out by the end of next March. It’s hard to think that Evil Genius was released seventeen years ago. A unique strategy management and simulation game, it captured the imagination of fans. It’s part Dungeon Keeper, casting you as the villainous head of what is basically a dungeon to ensnare heroes. Usually in video games you’re infiltrating this place - but in this series you’re building it, placing traps and employing guards to subdue or eliminate those pesky heroes....
