Details on this Project U are currently very vague, with the game’s page saying that Ubisoft has “been exploring a new concept of session-based co-op shooter, where many players unite to prevail against an overwhelming threat!” You probably couldn’t be less clear than that on pitching a game, considering that’s an age old concept. A piece of concept art has been shown off which you can see above, which is admittedly quite pretty, with the character designs having a toned-down Apex Legends vibe....

Riot dropped a first look trailer at Raze, Valorant’s Brazilian character. Raze is designed for players who like to predict enemy movement. She’s also a bit of an demolitions expert. Raze can throw what’s essentially a C4 with Blast Pack, and remotely detonate it when an enemy nears for maximum damage. Raze can also fire off Boom Bot, which is a small robot that locks onto and chases enemies. The bot explodes when it reaches them....

Microsoft is starting to test a new 4K dashboard for the Xbox Series X for Insiders in the Alpha and Alpha Skip-Ahead rings from today. Any members of the experimental Alpha circles will get access to the newly improved high-resolution interface for the Xbox dashboard later today. The update basically makes the Xbox UI look crisper and sharper on 4K displays – something that users have been asking for since the consoles launched in late 2020....

BioWare has detailed the framerate and resolution targets for Mass Effect Legendary Edition across all consoles. For starters, the game will offer two modes: one priorities visual quality and the other framerate. The two modes will be available on PS4, PS4 Pro, Xbox One, Xbox One X, as well as PS5 and Xbox Series X/S - though with varying targets. One thing worth highlighting is that Xbox Series X is currently the only console with support for up 120fps....

If you ever used to take your Xbox consoles around to your friend’s house for some old-school Halo LAN sessions in days gone by, you’ll know all about the Xbox System Link. The feature, which is innate to all Xbox consoles, allows players to connect multiple consoles together for offline multiplayer games.
