The launch trailer for Cyberpunk 2077 has a lot of ingredients you’d expect, some beautiful (and ugly) sights of Night City, close-ups of characters, some action set-pieces, and also a bit more of a serious mood. But it also includes a hidden message at the end from CD Projekt Red team. The message begins with a thanks to the fans while they speak of their excitement and anxiousness over how their latest RPG will be received, especially after years of making The Witcher games....

Widely known for its notoriously strict ratings, it comes as no surprise that the Australian ratings board’s report on Cyberpunk 2077 is written in explicit detail. The entire transcript was recently shared to Reddit, where it was confirmed that it is possible to mutilate bodies in Cyberpunk 2077. The developer announced the Cyberpunk 2077 delay from April 16 to September 17 in an official announcement on Twitter. As you can see in the announcement, the game is complete and in a playable state, but the development team needs more time to playtest and polish the game. “We want the game to be our crowning achievement for this generation and postponing launch will give us the precious months we need to make the game perfect,” reads the announcement....

You can choose to complete The Pickup or The Information in any order you like before completing The Heist. The Information is a much shorter and straightforward mission than The Pickup and will be your introduction to the Braindance mechanic. Be warned - the flashing lights from the Braindance machine has triggered epileptic seizures in some players, so you might want to look away when the flashing begins. The Xbox Adaptive Controller is designed to work with other specialised controllers for disabled players, with a wealth of outputs and inputs mapped to the different functions, allowing it to serve as an easy-to-use hub. Rory Steel, head of Digital Jersey Academy, a tech academy in the UK, has created a custom controller that utilises the Xbox Adaptive Controller, allowing his daughter to play Zelda: Breath of the Wild on Nintendo Switch....

Microsoft has announced new titles for Xbox Game Pass in May, and as you know, one of these is Red Dead Redemption 2. Rockstar announced last month its western was heading to the service, and you can pick it up for Xbox One tomorrow, May 7. Also on May 7, battle royale title DayZ will be available for console. If you haven’t tried the game before, in it you and up to 60 others on a server try to survive as long as possible....

As the end of Warzone’s second season approaches, Raven has added in one last twist to the battle royale mode’s uneventful zombie invasion event, which has been active for weeks and only served to throw the occasional zombie encounter at players at various points across the map. Last night, Warzone players found that if you die in any of the contaminated zones (marked with the nuclear icon) on the map, you come back as a zombie....

Sony has since gone on to share a statement with PushSquare, stating that “Matters relating to the PC release of Death Stranding are managed by Kojima Productions and 505 Games,” and that “[Sony Interactive Entertainment] has no involvement in this promotion.” In case you didn’t already know, Sony owns and funded Death Stranding. This certainly is far from the first and last time that a Sony title has made its way onto Game Pass, but this is one of the rare occasions in which many of us are left asking exactly how Kojima Productions and 505 brought Death Stranding to the rival subscription service....

The Exotic auto rifle Hard Light is the bane of many a players existence as it is far too OP in Crucible and other PvP matches. Auto Rifles received a slight adjustment in the 2.8.0. update recently which made Hard Light even better than it was by reducing screen shake when aiming. This made it even deadlier for mouse and keyboard players taking precision shots, which made finding cover from opponents near impossible as you could plan where your ricochet trajectories would land....

The July drop of free games for Nintendo Switch Online subscribers has finally been confirmed. Members get three games this month on July 15. Donkey Kong Country is the highlight of this batch, with the game joining the SNES line-up. Subscribers can also look forward to Natsume Championship Wrestling on SNES, and EA’s The Immortal on the NES. Donkey Kong Country, of course, is well remembered for its cutting-edge visuals, and for introducing gameplay that would later be followed by several sequels, including the Wii U’s (and later Switch’s) Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze....

In a post on its official website, EA confirmed all live game events will be postponed until “the global coronavirus situation improves.” Events immediately affected include Apex Legends Global Series, FIFA 20 Global Series, FIFA Online 4 Live, and Madden NFL 20 Championship Series. Online events, where participants and staff will work remotely, will still take place as planned. “This has been an unprecedented few days in an already unprecedented time,” says EA in the post....

Electronic Arts has apparently canned a project code-named Gaia that its Motive studio had been working on for several years. That’s according to Bloomberg, which says that the game was cancelled after six years. Apparently, development had been “turbulent” and the game had been rebooted at least once. Gaia being cancelled was seemingly due to EA re-evaluating the resources it is allocating to projects, likely the same process that resulted in Anthem Next being scrapped....

EA and the LPGA have announced plans to bring the LPGA Tour, The Amundi Evian Championship, one of its five major championships, and more female golfers to EA Sports PGA Tour. For the first time, the LPGA Tour will be experienced on next-generation consoles and will feature a wide breadth of women’s golfing representation. “We’re thrilled that the LPGA Tour is coming back to EA Sports PGA Tour especially with the inclusion of a major global tournament like The Amundi Evian Championship,” said Brian Carroll, LPGA’s senior vice president of global media distribution....

Replacing a physical event, EGX Digital still hopes to bring fans developer sessions, panels, playable games, competitive gaming, access to hundreds of indie titles, online meet and greets and more. “We love EGX, and we’re saddened to have had to cancel our flagship event. Given the current climate, we just wouldn’t have been able to provide our fans with the sort of show they’ve come to expect from us,” said David Lilley, EGX Event Director....

The single most impressive thing about it isn’t its size, though. For my money, the most mind-boggling element of Elden Ring is how deftly it reuses content, how much it gets away with putting the same things in front of you repeatedly, and how despite quite a lot of copy-and-paste work, the game never feels to get old.
